EDITORS / RESEARCH ASSISTANTS WANTED
The Institute of Higher Learning, a Bangalore based socio-cultural and
educational organization that has been involved in the Islamic publishing field for the past 27 years wishes to recruit suitable candidates to the following posts for its expansion
programmes:
Assistant Editors/ Trainee Editors:
Qualification: No bar. But should be capable of writing grammatically correct English, no matter how simple. But any grammatical error not acceptable. Retired persons with right background may also apply.
Preferences: MA in English Language. Knowledge of Urdu or Arabic advantageous. Previous experience of added advantage. Computer knowledge preferable.
Facilities: Very good salaries plus accommodation. Family accommodation for senior staff. Right candidates enjoy fast growth. Salary anything between Rs 5000 to 25,000 per month depending upon qualifications. Excellent source material available for literary works.
Research Assistant (Projects):
The candidate must be a graduate able to handle both English and Urdu equally well. He will be required to edit material in English and Urdu while also translating from Urdu to English. He must be experienced in data handling and authentic research on topics dealing with Islam, its history, sciences, community and culture. While a working knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage. Salary and facilities offered will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
