APPLICATIONS/NOMINATIONS SOUGHT FOR
MAAS AWARDS – 2004
The Muslim Association for the Advancement of Science
(MAAS) invites applications/nominations from the eligible Indian Muslim Scientists on the prescribed form available from the Office of the MAAS either in person or by sending a self-addressed envelope of 11" x 5" duly affixed with postage stamps of Rs.25/- (for sending the application form by
Regd. Post) for the following awards for the year 2004. The forms can also be down loaded by logging on to
www.maasindia.org.

How to Apply ?
1. After ascertaining the eligibility condition, any person who is familiar with the Nominee’s work and candidate can nominate for
MEA, YMSA, MWSA, MWSA & SPA, on the prescribed ‘Nomination Form’ attached with the Application Form. Except for MEA for all other Awards candidate can apply directly on the Application Form.

Nomination/Application should be accompanied with:
i) Three sets of documents (in case of MEA, YMSA, MWSA & SPA and five sets in case of
BPA.
ii) A 1-2 pages biographical sketch of the candidate including his/her/its scientific accomplishment, and its significance in national and international context.
iii) Complete curriculum vitae.
iv) Three recent passport size coloured photographs (The name of applicant/Nominee should be written on the back of each photograph).
v) Three copies of a 300 words write up on "Declining Interest of Indian Youth in Basic Sciences: Causes &
Remedies" (for applicants of YMSA and MWSA only).
3. The last date for the receipt of Applications/Nominations alongwith documents listed above, in the Office of ‘The Muslim Association for the Advancement of Science’
