ZFI is running in Delhi (a) Happy Home
(India) where poor orphaned children (including those affected by Gujarat
disturbances) are being brought up and educated, (b) Mercy Home (India)
– charitable medical center and (c) Adams Care – nursing home where
poor patients are treated / admitted. ZFI distributes monthly cereals etc
to poor widows in Delhi, pays monthly stipend to poor widows outside
Delhi; helps poor persons stand on their feet and become financially
independent; pays educational fees of poor students studying in modern
schools and madarsas; helps in marriage of poor girls; helps madarsas,
pays off debts of the needy and for moallifat-ul-quloob; etc. ZFI
has standing arrangement with Arqam Academy, Faridabad (Haryana), a CBSE
affiliated modern school with hostel facility for boys and girls.
Applications are invited from the poor / needy children from all over
India and they are admitted there under ZFI sponsorship. At present we
have 150 such children. More applications are lined up under every head.
After the unfortunate occurrence of Kashmir
earthquake (2005), ZFI team visited there and provided financial
assistance to the needy besides blankets, medicines, etc. Seriously
injured persons were flown to Delhi and treated in AIIMS. Similar exercise
was done after Tsunami (2004), Gujarat disturbances (2002) and for hungry
families of Murshidabad (2005).
ZFI has separate bank accounts for Zakat,
Sadaqat & Imdaad, Happy Home, Mercy Home, Adams Care, building
account, administrative expenses, etc. Fitra is also adequately handled as
per shari’at. ZFI makes arrangements for Qurbani on the occasion
of Eidul-Zuha for those willing to utilize its services and collects
Zabiha skins from others. ZFI has a separate Division of Training &
Employment for help of the needy. ZFI organizes Annual Indian Conference
on the importance of organized collection and utilization of Zakat and
other charities. National and international luminaries, scholars, ulema,
muftis and jurists actively participate.
Ulema & Muftis of national and
international eminence are closely associated with ZFI and are
periodically consulted by it. Accounts are meticulously maintained and
