Muslim Educational Society (Trust)

We would first like to give an introduction of our registered Muslim Educational Society (Trust), Asansol, West Bengal. Its aim and objective and our achievement till now. The society was established in the year 1970 with meager resources with its main objective to spread education among the vast Muslim population of the area and its surroundings. By our untiring efforts the society established a school named "Danishgah Islamia Nursery to High School". The school has its own two three-storied buildings one on 4,000 square feet plinth area, and the other on 8,000 square feet plinth area, on an area of 2.5 bighas of land. Nearly 1,500 students, both boys and girls are getting education on the curriculum of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education with Islamiyat. Every year nearly 100 students both boys and girls pass out from Madhyamik Board of West Bengal with star marks, distinction and first division.

We, however, observed that our meritorious students and other brilliant students of our area have no scope to get higher education due to the lack of colleges, engineering colleges, polytechnics, medical colleges and other resources of higher education. Keeping it in view to spread education, the Muslim Educational Society (Trust), Asansol, situated on the border of Jharkhand and Bihar, has purchased 54 bighas (18 acres) of land and is expected to purchase 40 bighas (14 acres) more land adjacent to the existing land to fulfill the desired objective.

The Sachar Committee report has given the true picture of Muslims in India, its backwardness in the field of education and economy.

Due to the lack of finance our meritorious students got no scope to rise higher and higher in all spheres of life.

Government proposals are coming a lot to remove this disparity. But everything depends on our own efforts, activities, alertness and the power to grab the opportunity.

We appeal to all the NGOs in India and abroad and all the generous personalities in India and abroad to step forward to rescue the community from this deprivation and to raise its morale.

For foreign donors, we like to point that we have permanent FCRA permission by the Govt. of India.

Contribution by the donors from both India and abroad may be on the conditions agreed upon by both of us. For further details please contact us on following address:
