Tributes paid to Alauddin Saabir Kulair
Kulair Sharif: Paying a glorious tribute to the famous saint, Hazrat Alauddin Saabir Kulair, Uttaranchal’s governor, Surjit Singh Barnala said that he has rendered a glorious service to humanity and because of this service every person irrespective of caste and creed is his devotee. He said that his ‘dargaah’ gives the message of unity of man and whosoever comes here bows his head in reverence and devotion to the great saint whose services and universal message cannot be forgotten.
He further said that as governor of the state, he will try to meet the requirements of the ‘dargaah’. Later on, he visited the saint’s ‘mazaar’ and offered flowers and a ‘chaadar’ in reverence.
It may be recalled that the sate of Uttaranchal was carved out as a separate state out of UP about a year ago but ever since then there is no Waqf Board here. The management of this ‘dargaah’ is being run by a 3-member panel under the Lucknow bench of UP High Court. This panel has delegated the authority of its management to the present administrator, Haji Muhammad Saleem Khan. According to him the income of this ‘dargaah’ is so vast that had it been spent judiciously and honestly in the past, the dargaah and its surrounding areas would have become paradise-like. According to him, even its six months’ income is sufficient to build an air-conditioned guest house, an ordinary guest house, a double storey convention hall, metalled roads, more than 300 permanent shops, gas plant in the community kitchen etc and all payments are made in cash.
