Yatras should be banned
New Delhi: In view of ‘Chetawani Yatra (warning march) of VHP saints and ‘Sadhus’ highly provocative and illegal statements of Prishad leaders, All India Muslim Personal Law Board has demanded the Central as well as the state governments to ban all such ‘yatras’ which challenge law and Constitution and create social and communal unrest in the country.
The convener of Personal Law Board’s convener also demanded the government to take all carved pillars and stones etc under its custody so that these could not be used for any illegal construction and use in near or distant future. It was also made clear that in 1994 the Supreme Court order had stipulated that no part, even a small one, of the acquired land which is presently under the government custody can be given to any other party or group unless the court pronounces its judgement. q |
