The Egyptian committee of the trial of war perpetrators prepares case
 The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) is preparing a case against the Israeli war criminals who cold-bloodedly killed Egyptian prisoners of war (PoWs) in captivity.
It has already filed a case beofe the Cairo Appeals Court in this respect. The committee has prepared translaions of material published in Hebrew in Israel which contain confessions of Israeli officers who boasted that they had committed collective massacres and killings of the Egyptian officers and POWs during the wars of 1956 and 1967. In this regard, the committee prepared the legal basis of the charges directed against the military leaders, which are based on international legal instruments.
The Cairo Appeals Prosecution summoned Hafez Abou Se’da, EOHR secretary general, on 5 March 2002 for interrogations then the prosecution decided to set another session for the presentation of the names and addresses of the witnesses whose names are mentioned in EOHR book Crime and Punishment.
The committee is now preparing the case file complete with evidences.
The EOHR, in cooperation with the Cairo Institution for Human Rights Studies (CIHRS), is holding a seminar on 20 March in Geneva under the theme: “Arial Sharon is war criminal."
