Urdu computer network
| Aligarh: The Aligarh branch of UP Rabta Committee recently organized a function to award certificates to successful candidates of its Information Technology Centre. Speaking in this function, Dr Hamidullah Bhat, Director, National Council for the Promotion of Urdu Languages (NCPUL) said that the National Council has set up a network of Urdu computer education throughout the country for the minorities. He said that the minorities should take maximum advantage of such schemes so that they could move forward shoulder to shoulder with others in this age of technology. He said that knowledge of new sciences is very essential for minorities to safeguard their identity. He also expressed the plan of introducing ‘O Level’ course in the computer centres being run in cooperation with NCPUL. Earlier, UP Rabta Committee’s secretary for educational affairs, Prof Ateeq Ahmad Siddiqi presented a brief progress report of Computer Calligraphy Training Centre. q |
