Central government promoting Hindutva

Aligarh: Prof Bhawani Sen Gupta, the distinguished intellectual, while inaugurating a two-day seminar on ‘Discipline and Control of India’s Governance’ organized by the Department of the Political Science of Aligarh Muslim University, expressed his views that the ideologies of the Indian political parties have been fully demolished and the central government is promoting the philosophy of Hindutva in a beautiful manner. He said that this philosophy of Hindutva is very much different from that of 1991 when LK Advani took out the ‘Rath Yatra’. Today the 23 political parties constituting the BJP-led NDA government have accepted the philosophy of Hindutva.

He gave a detailed description of the alleged complicity of the BJP’s national president, Bangaru Lakshman, in corruption and said that in India a clean government is even more essential than clear and limpid water.

Former Minster of state for external affairs, Salman Khurshid, while emphasizing the need for familiarizing the public with laws of the government, said that even the Supreme Court cannot correctly explain and elucidate laws while passing judgment and a person has to move from one court to another for fourteen years in order to get justice. He said that weaker sections of society and minorities should be given some special concessions and privileges in order to uplift them because demands for reservations in jobs and admissions are being raised by Muslims also.

Former director general of CBI, Joginder Singh, said that there are 375-secretary level posts in the central government and these officers run the government and that bureaucracy is to be blamed for mismanagement and defective administration. He further said that the department of environment is spreading the pollution of ill-repute and infamy so much so that Indians now want to get their work done somehow or the other, even if they have to bribe.
