Nuke ‘em
US Congressman (Republican) Steve Buyer told CNS News on 18 October
that he believes the United States should consider using tactical
nuclear weapons against Osama bin Laden's terrorist network in Afghanistan
if that network is linked to the recent anthrax incidents in the United
States.
Ground mission a failure
Moscow: The first US ground mission inside the Taliban-held
Afghanistan on Saturday was a failure, a Russian news agency Interfax
reported on 21 Oct. quoting military sources.
Farrakhan condemns US war
Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan on 20 Oct condemned the
U.S.-led bombing of Afghanistan, saying Washington had not proven its case
against terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden. He added that the U.S.
government hadn't revealed the evidence to the Taliban, sharing it only
with allies."You show your friend [British Prime Minister Tony Blair]
the evidence, but not the people you're about to bomb?" he said.
Bomb kill namazis
Kabul: A US bomb fell on a mosque on 23 Oct in the western Afghan city of
Herat killing and injuring people praying inside, the Taliban said.
Abdul Hanan Hemat, head of the Taliban's Bakhtar information agency, said
the mosque victims were among 15 people killed and 25 injured in overnight
bombing by US warplanes in Herat.
Ignoble Nobel
This year’s Nobels for Literature and Peace have gone respectively to VS
Naipaul and Kofi Annan-UN. The first earned it through his hate
outpourings against Islam and Muslims and the latter for inaction
demonstrated in preventing US aggression against Afghanistan. q |
