Rich Muslims of Azamgarh an eyesore to police
Azamgarh: Police has recently arrested two persons, including one Neyaz Ahmad in Azamgarh, allegedly belong to Dawood Ibrahim gang and claimed to have recovered arms, RDX, American Dollars, brown sugar, cash, international sim card etc from them. However, Neyaz’s sister-in-law, Ghazaleabis Nannhi, has strongly contradicted police claim and said that Neyaz Ahmad is now connected to Dawood Ibrahem.
Addressing a press conference, she described the police charge as baseless and said that he is a BA 1st year student of Shibli Degree College and has been living with her for the past 5 years. She said that Neyaz’s brother and father are in foreign countries. He and one of his friends were travelling on a motor bike and had a small PCO machine as a weapon and cooked up a totally false case simply to harass his relatives.
She has demanded the government for a high level enquiry about the whole episode and strong action against the real culprits. She also said that rich Muslims of the city are eyesore to the police who is on the look out for some excuse or the other to harass them, latest example of which is the arrest of Neyaz Ahmad. Meanwhile, in a related case Delhi police who had recently arrested two members, Ishtiaq Ahmad and Sadiq of underworld mafia don, Abu Salem’s gang, presented him under strict security in the court of judicial magistrate, Ram Sahai at Azamgarh. The police could not present another accused person, Sadiq because of his illness. The learned judge directed the police to present both the accused persons belonging to Azamgarh, on 1 November for hearing. Both these persons are wanted by the Azamgarh police because of their involvement in various cases of serious matter. q |
