Maulana Rabey Hasani Nadawi, rector of Nadwatul Ulema Lucknow, said after receiving the award that Ali Mian never wanted to accept awards, but as he was a great admirer of Shah Waliullah Dehlawi, he would have loved to accept this award. It is the only reason that I have received this award on his behalf. The Maulana also appreciated the contributions of the Institute of Objective Studies which has constituted this award.
