Hurriyat office raided

Srinagar: The headquarters of Hurriyat Conference here was jointly raided by personnel of Special Operations Group and Army on 17 Dec. night and office records and furniture were ransacked, a Hurriyat spokesman alleged on Tuesday.

SOG personnel and troops of Rashtria Rifles came to the Hurriyat headquarters at Rajbagh around 10 pm and beat up the watchman before ransacking the records of the relief cell and damaged furniture, the spokesman, Sheikh Abdul Rahid, told reporters here. No objectionable material was however found, he claimed. q
