The Youth should lead the 'Jehad' Against dowry

Saharanpur: Addressing a meeting of All India Muslim Teli Federation (oil dealers federation) in Saharanpur, the UP president of the Federation, Zaheer Anwar called upon the educated Muslim youth to come forward and lead the community against educational backwardness, dowry and moral degradation in Muslim society. He said that ignorance and illiteracy are mainly responsible for all these and other evils and appealed them to create awakening among the people and strengthen and quicken the movement against these evils which are assuming alarming proportions. He further said that politicians have been exploiting their fraternity for political purposes.
Another leader, Dr. Rizwan Ahmad said that now that the assembly elections are approaching, his community will vote only to that party which promises to solve their problems.
