Seminar on Ulama and freedom movement

New Delhi: A 2-day seminar will be held in Saharanpur on 26-27 January under the auspices of Milli Taalimi Trust. A delegation, led by its leader and general secretary of the Trust, Maulana Mohd Yaqoob Bulandshahri, recently met Maulana Asrarul Haq Qasmi, President of All India Educational & Milli Foundation in Delhi in this connection.

While clarifying the aims and objectives of the seminar, Maulana Yaqoob said that the role and sacrifices of Muslims, Ulama and madrasas in the freedom movement and war of independence of the country is a brilliant chapter in the country’s history but these days effort is being made under an organized conspiracy to totally ignore these facts. The objectives of this seminar, therefore, is to familiarize our countrymen, and particularly our youngmen of the present generation, of their valuable contributions and sacrifices.
