Madrasa being targeted by communal forces

Fatehpur: Madrasas and maktabs which played outstanding roles in India’s war of independence are presently strong targets of communalists. In this connection top officials of UP have been asked in a secret communication of UP government to paralyze madrasas and such other Muslim institutions by harassing responsible authorities and activists of these institutions by adopting the polity ofsuppression so that these become totally ineffective.

Throwing light on this strategy the sources said, on the condition of anonymity, that by the time elections are held the present government wants to create so deep rift and so wide gulf of communalism and hatred between Hindus and Muslims as will enable it to recapture power in the state. This secret directive is the best strategy to create serious rift between the two communities.
According to these sources, the SP of Fatehpur has flatly refused to act upon this policy but after all he is a government officer and has to protect his job. It is now to be seen as to how far he is able to stick to his noble objectives. q
