OPEN LETTER
To all Muslim MPs

Dear Muslim MPs,

It is a matter of great shame for all the Muslims of India that the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha of which you are honorable members, failed to pass a resolution to pay homage to the former Congress MP the late Mr. Ahsan Jafri, who was brutally killed by a mob in the communal riots in Ahmedabad recently. What more insults can be bestowed on the Muslims of India when MPs from their own community failed to move the House to pay homage to one of their former colleague.

This fact is not only highly regretable but it is also highly deplorable. This serious lapse on the part of Muslim MPs has not gone down well with the Indian Muslims, and all the Muslim MPs owe an explanation to their community on this matter.

The Muslims Intellectuals Group of India (MIGI) strongly protests against the negligence on part of the Muslim MPs in failing to reqeust the Lok Sabha Speaker to pay homage to the former Muslim MP Ehsan Jafferi. The Muslim MPs also owe an apology to the Indian Muslims for their failure to defend the causes of the minority community.
