OBC status for Karnataka, Kerala Muslims

The Government has decided to include the Muslims in Karnataka and Kerala in the Central list of Other Backward Classes (OBCs). Stating this in a written reply to Lok Sabha on 15 March, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Satyanarayan Jatiya said, ‘The Government has accepted the recommendations of the National Commission for Backward Classes after due consideration. q
