Shun Beef, VHP advises Muslims

New Delhi: After RSS and Atal Behari Vajpayee’s advice and remarks against Muslims, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) , a Sangh Parivar member, has threatened Muslims with dire consequences. "If Muslims wish to live in peace in Bharat along with the majority Hindus, they must shun consuming cow meat, and also hand over three mosques viz. Gyanvapi Masjid at Varanasi, and Masjids at Kashi and Mathura", said Acharya Giriraj Kishore, vice-president, VHP on 23 April in a press conference here. VHP and Bajrang Dal activists have also threatened Muslims that if they do not stop ‘atrocities’ on the Hindus (!), they would be compelled to organize a countrywide hartal (read boycott of Muslims). It may be noted, however, that beef is not available anywhere in the so-called cowbelt. q
