Assam Muslim students in examinations

The results this year of the Assam Higher Secondary exams as well as the High School Leaving Certificate and Assam High Madrasa Exams have been declared. In the Arts stream of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Assam Secondary Education Council, Khaleda Sultana Ahmed of Sibsagar Girls’ College and Mamoni Begum of MNC Balika Mahavidyalaya have secured 4th and 10th positions with 405 and 398 marks respectively.

In the High School Leaving Certificate Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam, Uzma Hussain Barlaskur St Mary English High School, Guwahati has secured 6th position with 514 marks and Shamim Rahman of PC Institution Higher Secondary School, Gauripur 12th position with 506 marks. Sanzida Tasnim Ali of St Mary English High School, Guwahati and Mushtaq Ahmad of Don Bosco High School, Tezpur have secured 18th position with 499 marks each and Arifuddin Ahmad of Don Bosco High School, Guwahati has obtained 20th position with 497 marks.

In the Assam High Madrasa Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam, Suraiya Sultana of Santipukhuri High Madrasa, Santipukhuri has secured first position with 456 marks. Md. Afaz Uddin of Shalakati High Madrasa has secured second position with 446 marks. Anowar Hussain of Baguriguri, Madrasa Higher Secondary School is placed in the third position with 437 marks.

Out of a total of 3483 candidates, 36 candidates are placed in the first division and 235 in the second division in the Assam High Madrasa Examination 2001.
