Abna-e-Qadim condemn report
|Darul Uloom Deoband Old Boys
Organisation (Tanzim Abna-e-Qadim) organized an all parties meeting at
India International Centre, Delhi to scrutinize the group of ministers’
(GoM) report, in which Muslims and madrasas are shown as high risk factors
for national security. The heads and leaders of about 50 organizations and
institutions participated in the meeting.
The participants challenged the government to prove a single incident in
which a madrasa scholar has ever been punished for anti-national
activities. The meeting demanded the government to set up All Party
Parliamentary Investiga-tion Commission and to present a survey report.
Maulana Syed Nizamuddin, Amir-e-Shariat Bihar, Orissa and Jharkhand and
general secretary of AIMPLB said that the report is a conspiracy to
tarnish the image and prestige of the country’s second largest minority.
Engineer Khadim Hussain Naqi, vice president Majlis-e-Mushawarat (Qasmi
group) said while laying emphasis on establishment of a Federation and a
Code of Conduct for Madrasas that, ‘We have to call a meeting of heads
of different Muslim groups and sects very soon. Maulana Muhammad Abdullah
Mughithi vice president of the tanzim felt that the madrasas should invite
the responsible persons of the majority community on various occasions so
that the misunderstanding about madrasas are removed.
Maulana Amiduza-man Kairanvi, working president of Tanzim Abna-e-Qadim
said that Muslims and madrasas are not dangerous for the country, but the
report itself is a danger for the country in which effort has been wrongly
made to associate the minorities and their institutions with militancy,
whose past history has always been full of services and sacrifices.
