Occupation is the issue
There can be no doubt that the architect of Sabra and Shatila massacres of Palestinian refugees, Israel's current terrorist Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is ever-ready and eager to stage another bout of wholesale murderous attacks on the innocent Palestinian people in West Bank and Gaza, except for some behind the scene restraining hand of its mentor, the US and the dread of Saddam Hussain's reprisal attacks on Israel with `weapons of mass destruction'.
‘Experts’ are shying away from pointing towards Israel and its future plans for Palestinians and Palestine, as the answer to the oft-repeated question over War on Iraq being asked: why now?
Saddam Hussain's persona hovers over the Middle East scenario as the 'ultimate suicide bomber' and Israeli leaders are genuinely scared and truly feel boxed in.
Muslim and Third World nations can take heavy causalities; but not the western immigrants in occupied Palestine. Their dilemma is not lessened when they strongly believe that their adversaries only recognize the language of force. According to Israelis, there cannot be a civilized dialogue with the Arabs and Muslims. And they have a whole history of 55 years of colonial expansion, to strengthen their resolve not to relinquish an inch of occupied land. They, however, fail to understand that they are sailing against the tide. To destabilize the world, no large army or arsenals are needed. 9/11 proved it to the world.
For all practical purposes, all powerful countries of the world are living a glass house existence. The time has come for Israelis to cut their losses and show statesmanship for the overall peace of the region as well as the world. It will be nobody's fault if Israelis invite a second visit of Holocaust by their own rash and arrogant miscalculations. Let them shun Masada complex and make peace of the brave by returning to the Palestinians their occupied territories. There will be no peace with occupation. The sooner the Israelis realise this the better for them and the whole world.
