Political will required to conquer AIDS
Even as the world inches closer to finding a solution to dealing with the killer disease AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) the globe is in the grip of another version of this deadly disease. This new AIDS ( American Invasion to Discipline States ) is deadlier than the previous one, because it destroys the entire population where it strikes. Those who are not killed by this AIDS are the worst sufferers, it ruins the state forever. In the past couple of years the world watched helplessly as this AIDS struck twice, ruining the victims forever.
Where is this new AIDS likely to strike most, in other words what are the symptoms that indicate that the new AIDS is going to strike? Well though research is still going on, the most important symptom that has been diagnosed is --- Disobediant and Non co-operative Ruler ( DNR ). Is then there any cure for the new AIDS? There is no cure as yet, but then this AIDS can be prevented, what is needed is a " United Political will " to tackle this menace head-on.

Zionist Dialectics
If Israel had erected the wall along the borders given it by the international community in 1948, then it would probably be legal.

As it is, it is an example of monstrous Zionist dialectics. And far too many international leaders go on accord with it without even saying - "Boycott Israel". One leader made the ridiculous gesture of calling home its ambassador when Israeli gunships wiped out Palestinian homes in Gaza. That ambassador should not even have been in Israel. But private Jewish bankers have been in place in Turkey many, many generations and the effect has been quite evident. The only reason that Israel hasn't been sneaked into NATO through the Turkish backdoor is that Turk leaders prefer to stay alive.

Under the auspices of the Zionist proxies Bush and Blair, Zion is creating international precedences these years. Might and perfidies come before right. This is a symptom of dubious and hypocritical leadership - in who's pay are they? Are the Europeans already as compromised as that legislating mob in Washington?

Of what use is it that European leaders are rabbling together under one flag when filthy iniquity flourish before their very eyes? Are they calculating that others will have to live up to the consequences of their decadence?

WATER WARs
Water war has begun between Haryana and Punjab. Already war is being fought by TN and Karnataka. There will be more such wars in future if the monsoon is playing truant. All these talks of connecting rivers is a pipe dream and wrought with danger, besides emptying the exchequer. God Almight has filled 70% of the earth with water. Most of the big cities are near to the sea. It is therefore easy for us to go in desalination of water in a big way. Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Calcutta can try this. There will be no scarcity of water any more. The cost per litre for this process will just be 5 paise which is affordable. I appeal to Govt of India to seriously consider this so that we will be able to do cultivation unhindered and drinking water problem will be solved and India will see the days of plenty and progress.

Arabs in Sudan!
US/UK media, including CNN and BBC are relishing with the use of a new name in Sudanese imbroglio: the Arabs. Typical of spin doctoring and blatant propaganda techniques of the most reprehensible kind! The world has yet to be introduced to the new brand of Arab.

This is not ethnically or racially distinct group that can match the description of Semites that inhibit the Middle East Arab world.

This group is African black group, who speak Arabic language and they do not confirm to all that distinguishes an Arab or non-Arab. So, now, according to the US and UK propaganda pushed through CNN and BBC, those now speak Arabic, are being typecast as the Arabs, as if all that speak English are English, or those that speak French are French.

But the media might is media right.

Once the adversary becomes Arab – a generic term now, it is a short jump to Arab Muslim terrorists. The area of targeted victims has to be increased and kept flexible to be available to US/UK forays into practically indefensible Middle Eastern countries.

The alternate term of ‘Janjaweed’ too is as specious and indeterminate as ‘Al Qaida’ and Al Jama’a Islamiya’ ---- all specially fashioned and promoted code names as if used in Armed Force planning. Janjaweed is reported to be a ‘criminal gang’ comprising members from various tribes of all colours and shades. This group could have been even employed by western agencies to foment trouble so the West and United Nation could get a pretext to go into Sudan.

BBC is devoting hours and hours of coverage of the ‘refugees’ of Darfur. BBC itself informs that the crisis has been brewing for eighteen months. So why this emergency and orchestrated media and ‘Human Rights Watch’ and Amnesty chorus all of a sudden! Is it to take the heat off Iraq?

This is just the preliminaries for another blatant intervention in the name of Human Rights. After all, Sudan, still a potential target and lucrative honey pot, is on the priority list of future US armed intervention. For the crime of being a Muslim majority Nation with a Christian minority, sitting on prime real estate with immense oil and gas reserves.

US in Iraq
On a visit to Australia, former US President Bill Clinton has warned against the US interfering in the internal politics of Australia. Bush administration has registered loud protests when the Labour Party, had declared its intention of withdrawing troops from Iraq, now that it is faced with an election and a country wide disaffection with Australia’s participation in a Israel and US led war on Iraq.

Israel got the US into this quagmire and US now intends to haul the whole list of allies, demanding unquestioned loyalties. The whole chain is stretched to the limit and weak links are fast appearing in various part of the ‘coalition of willing’ which can now be appropriately be called – ‘Coalition of the unwilling’ --- or ‘Coalition of the Coerced’.

Philippines, a small but staunch ally of the US and supposedly prime target of ‘Islamic terror’, has now pulled out, under great pressure from its own people, who forcefully reacted against their country’s participation in Iraq war, however symbolically --- to save the life of one single Filipino hostage in Iraq.

Australia is rocked by the breaking news by Sydney Morning Herald reporter of personal shooting of 6 prisoners in Baghdad Police station, by none other than the old CIA operative and US appointed Iraqi Prime Minister, Iyad Alawi, in the presence of American witnesses. On the election campaign trail, Bush is boasting about demolishing a ‘despot and dictator to bestow freedom and democracy to the people of Iraq.

In the event, Bush has managed to put in a much more cruel and criminal on the head of the government, which is still run by the American Armed forces, though technically put under false and fraudulent sovereignty of the so-called ‘liberated’ Iraq.

People of the world have right to question, what is the difference between the ‘Prime Minister’ and the ‘terrorists’ that both relish summery executions in Iraq and not bothered about the world opinion and international norms of Human Rights and Geneva Convention.

Compared to Iyad Alawi, Saddam is not yet reported to have personally shot prisoners by his own hands in over thirty years in power. Alawi will be the first head of government in recent memory at least, who is running the administration a UN member state, with his hands stained with blood of the innocents, summarily shot by him in full public glare and as a deliberately setting an example for his security people. This man should be arrested by the UN and put on trial at Hague’s International Court of Justice. It further shows, how the drama of huge crocodile tears by Bush administration was just a farce and American forces are still inspiring the most brutal forms of repression and killings in Iraq. The fact that Americans were present when the prisoners were shot should be enough to prove US complicity in such heinous crimes in Iraq.

A WILL to Deprive the Heirs ?
The Late Madam Priyamvada Birla had executed her WILL to bequeath her husband’s ancestral properties worth Rs. Fifty thousand Millions (Book Value) to a non-heir person from outside the family. Birla group is an industrial empire of our country. How much it was correct will now be decided by the Courts of Law after a long battle of the legal luminaries.

Islamic Shariat restricts the Will to one-third only of the total net assets; the rest must go to the natural heirs. Muslim philanthropists have been therefore happily donating to the weaker sections of their relatives as well as the social needs of the society since last fourteen centuries. Aukafs throughout our country are the gifts made by the men of pure souls. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had directed his followers not to pass a single night without declaring his Will. Indian Judiciary decides the litigations of Muslims as laid down under the Muslim Personal Law.

Divorce in Islam
Unnecessary controversy is created when Muslim Personal Law board wanted to rationalise laws governing divorce. There is no need for a nationwide discussion on the subject as the Qur'aan is explicit on the same.

Islam is religion of Mercy, which promises eternal success to those who believe in the monotheism and doing righteous deeds as shown by Prophet. Islam is based upon Humanism, Justice, Truth and love for fellow beings. Qur'aan does not permit triple talaq in one sitting but in stages. It is allowed only as a last resort after all efforts of reconciliation is exhausted. A relation between two person based on mistrust should not be forced upon them and hence permission for divorce has been given. Qur'aan is very explicit on the laws of divorce.:

O Prophet! When ye do divorce women, divorce them at their prescribed periods, and count (accurately), their prescribed periods: And fear Allah your Lord: and turn them not out of their houses, nor shall they (themselves) leave, except in case they are guilty of some open lewdness, those are limits set by Allah. and any who transgresses the limits of Allah, does verily wrong his (own) soul: thou knowest not if perchance Allah will bring about thereafter some new situation. [65:1]

Divorced women shall wait concerning themselves for three monthly periods. Nor is it lawful for them to hide what Allah Hath created in their wombs, if they have faith in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have the better right to take them back in that period, if they wish for reconciliation. And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree (of advantage) over them. And Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise. [2:228]

A divorce is only permissible twice: after that, the parties should either hold Together on equitable terms, or separate with kindness. It is not lawful for you, (Men), to take back any of your gifts (from your wives), except when both parties fear that they would be unable to keep the limits ordained by Allah. If ye (judges) do indeed fear that they would be unable to keep the limits ordained by Allah, there is no blame on either of them if she give something for her freedom. These are the limits ordained by Allah. so do not transgress them if any do transgress the limits ordained by Allah, such persons wrong (Themselves as well as others). [2:229]

So if a husband divorces his wife (irrevocably), He cannot, after that, re-marry her until after she has married another husband and He has divorced her. In that case there is no blame on either of them if they re-unite, provided they feel that they can keep the limits ordained by Allah. Such are the limits ordained by Allah, which He makes plain to those who understand. [2:230]

When ye divorce women, and they fulfil the term of their ('Iddat), either take them back on equitable terms or set them free on equitable terms; but do not take them back to injure them, (or) to take undue advantage; if any one does that; He wrongs his own soul. Do not treat Allah's Signs as a jest, but solemnly rehearse Allah's favours on you, and the fact that He sent down to you the Book and Wisdom, for your instruction. And fear Allah, and know that Allah is well acquainted with all things. [2:231]

When ye divorce women, and they fulfil the term of their ('Iddat), do not prevent them from marrying their (former) husbands, if they mutually agree on equitable terms. This instruction is for all amongst you, who believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is (the course Making for) most virtue and purity amongst you and Allah knows, and ye know not. [2:232]

O ye who believe! When ye marry believing women, and then divorce them before ye have touched them, no period of 'Iddat have ye to count in respect of them: so give them a present. And set them free in a handsome manner. [33:49]

For divorced women Maintenance (should be provided) on a reasonable (scale). This is a duty on the righteous. [2:241]

There is no blame on you if ye divorce women before consummation or the fixation of their dower; but bestow on them (A suitable gift), the wealthy according to his means, and the poor according to his means;- A gift of a reasonable amount is due from those who wish to do the right thing. [2:236]

And if ye divorce them before consummation, but after the fixation of a dower for them, then the half of the dower (Is due to them), unless they remit it or (the man's half) is remitted by him in whose hands is the marriage tie; and the remission (of the man's half) is the nearest to righteousness. And do not forget Liberality between yourselves. For Allah sees well all that ye do. [2:237]

West and Islam: Beyond the Apparent Clash of Civilisations
Sundeep Waslekar is on the right track, when he feels India's Islamic intellectuals can contribute to a pivotal role for India, in offering a bridge between West and Islam. Till now Indian leaders, in their obsession to consolidate their power in internal equations, have always treated Islamic scholars and Ulama with benign if not malign neglect. But the world is facing a historically most dangerous clash between West and Islamic world.

India, with its size, its population, its resources --- both material as well as intellectual and its Muslim citizens --- world's second largest Muslim population, who have remained strictly within its democratic and secular polity, for the last 57 years, even though subjected to worst provocation and discrimination, could come out with a positive contribution to the denouement of the catastrophic entanglement.

However, before India could venture on any such mission, it will have a Herculean task to convince both Indian Muslims as well as rest of the Muslim world, that it can identify and offer solutions to the systematic injustice that the Western economic exploitation of the rest of the world with full cooperation from the West.

India could start with formulating studies on a New World Order, around Islamic no-interest banking and credit solutions that could in time supercede the unjust and exploitative IMF and world bank system of managing world economy that gives overriding powers to the West in general and US in particular, to enjoy unlimited use of created money, without bearing any cost to themselves.

The burden of indebtedness by the rest of the world can never be justified on the basis of 'might is right' logic that rules the current world pecking order.

Islam with its welfare economic solutions has to offer much more than suicide bombers and jihadi hordes. An effort is long due and India could take a lead with its unique position midway between the exploiters and exploited.
