Conference on promotion of Urdu
New Delhi: A conference of voluntary organisations engaged in the promotion of Urdu will be held soon in Delhi to study the problems faced by Urdu and recommend steps to be taken to make it popular. This was announced by Anjuman Taraqqi-e Urdu Hind on 31 May.
The conference will be jointly organised by Anjuman Taraqqi-e Urdu Hind and Zakir Hussain Study Circle. Voluntary organisations working for the promotion of Urdu have been requested to send names and addresses of their representatives for participation in the conference, to its head office at Urdu Ghar, Rouse Anenue, New Delhi so that invitations could be sent to them.
