Minister promises non-discrimination against Madrasahs
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh minister for environment and corporations, Babu Lal Gaur, while delivering the convocation address at Madhya Pradesh Madrasa Board here on 14 June assured the Board that it should not entertain any fear that BJP government of the state would discriminate against it in any manner. The convocation function was held in the newly constructed building “Talim Ghar” of the Madrasa Board.
He said that in view of the services rendered by the Madrasa Board, its chairman and other authorities deserved praise because the education imparted in the madrasahs laid emphasis on patriotism, tolerance, humanism and moral and spiritual values. In other educational institutions of the state also, Muslims were rendering valuable services, he said and assured that the BJP government would provide more assistance to Madhya Pradesh Madrasa Board than the previous Congress government.
Earlier, chairman of the Madrasa Board, Prof. Haleem Khan presented a report on the performance of the Board. He said that 22,000 students appeared for classes 9th and 12th examinations and that the convocation function was organised to award certificates and prizes to successful boy and girl students.
