‘Courts are communal’: Thackeray
Mumbai: Shiv Sena chief, Bal Thackeray, targetting courts in his caustic style said on April 24 that even courts in this country have become ‘communal’. Describing the incidents when courts had termed Shiv Sena as ‘communal,’ he said that he was saying with complete sense of responsibility that courts too were communal.
Addressing an election rally of BJP-Shiv Sena combine in Mumbai’s Shivaji Park, Thackeray said that whenever a witness is called in courts to testify, he is asked to take oath on Gita, Qur’an or Bible. He asked if it was not communal? The meeting was addressed by prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee also.
