Honour for Dr Rizvi
Pioneer in haemodialysis

Dr RizviDr SNA Rizvi, former director and professor of Nephrology, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, has been conferred with the 'Scroll of Honor' for his pioneering work in Haemodylasis in India. Dr Rizvi is presently serving Delhi’s Apollo Hospital as senior Consultant Nephrologist.

The prestigious award was presented to him by the President of Indian Society of Haemodylasis in a function recently organised in Hotel Ashoka, in collaboration with International Society of Haemodialysis.

Dr. Rizvi had performed more than one hundred thousand dialysis and was instrumental in providing free dialysis services to needy patients.
A single dialysis costs around Rs 1250 at a time. A total of 50,000 patients benefited from this free facility, which was provided with the help of Government of Delhi.

Dr Rizvi was the first to establish Dialysis Center at LNJP Hospital to provide this life-saving service to poor patients.
