Ramlila Committee's Iftar party

New Delhi: The Lav-Kush Ramlila Committee hosted an iftar party on Delhi’s Ramilila grounds on 19 October. It was the first instance of an Iftar party hosted by any Ramlila committee. Hundreds of Muslims ended their fast here. The Iftar party brought religious leaders of the two communities together. Imam Zariuddin of Ajmer Sharif hailed the event as a great opportunity for the communities to come together. He said that more such events should be organised to remove misunderstandings between the two communities.

Secretary of the Lav-Kush Ramlila Committee Arjun Kumar said that never before the committee celebrated Navratra and Ramzan together. We want to take the spirit of brotherhood to our homes and localities and live as Indians rather than as members of two different communities.
