Bhatkal tycoon to start airline
Bhatkal: A Bhatkal businessman will soon start a regional airline. Bhatkal’s top businessman Syed Muhammad Arshad Muhtashim has decided to start a domestic airline soon. According to
sahilonline.org, Syed Muhtashim is managing director of Muhtashim Builders of Mangalore which constructed the city’s first 14-story building and is now busy constructing a 19-story building in the city.
Belonging to the Arab origin Nawayet community of Bhatkal, Syed Muhtashim will first hire two aircraft. He plans to raise his fleet to six aircraft within two years. The airline will operate in the south.
Like many Bhatkal youth, Syed Muhtashim is a self-made man who within one generation has achieved remarkable success. Bhatkal people run many successful businesses in the Gulf.
