Muslim meeting in Bangalore
Bangalore: A large gathering of Muslim philantropists, educationists, ulama, mosque committee members, IAS & IPS officers, NGOs , women's help groups, was held in the city on 22 August to coordinate voluntary work in the community. The meeting was chaired by K.
Rahman Khan, deputy chairperson of the Rajya Sabha. The meeting decided to set up a secretariat to cater to the needs of the community and to fill the gap between facilities
offered by the government and their utilization by the community.
