PM assures AIMC delegation to solve problems of minorities

New Delhi: A delegation of All India Milli Council (AIMC) led by its assistant secretary general, Maulana Abdul Wahab Khilji met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on May 22 and congratulated him on behalf of Muslims for taking up his new responsibilities. Welcoming the delegation members, Singh said that his government would give preference to solving the problems of Muslims and other minorities and work for peace, progress and security of the people and strengthening the country.

He said that the country had succeeded in defeating communal and fascist forces because of the support and cooperation of secular people, parties and organisations. Singh asked Muslims and other minorities to fearlessly play positive role in nation building.
