Ahle-Hadith madrasahs’ affiliation

In a meeting held at Varanasi’s Jamia Salafia on 6 May 2004, and attended by principals and administrators of dozens of Ahle-Hadith madrasahs in the country, it was decided that these madrasashs will get affiliated to the Jamia Salafia which is the oldest and largest Ahle-Hadith madrasah in the country and is recognised by some universities in Saudi Arabia. A board consisting of four persons from Jamia Salafia, including its principal Maulana Muhammad Mustaqeem, and three from affiliated institutions, has been elected to oversee the affiliation system. It was decided that in the junior levels of Mutawassitah and Thanawiyah, only local students will be enrolled by Jamia Salafia. Students from outside Varanasi wishing to join higher classes of Jamia Salafia will undergo tests in their own madrasahs. «
