Indian Muslim Initiative
Through Milli Gazette of 1-15 July 04 I came to know that you attended a very useful meeting with NRI at
Jeddah on 16-18 June. It is also a good news that a new body ‘Indian Muslim Initiative’ is being launched. The top priority should be given to education.
Instead of plan for higher education the main trust should be on learning from Nursery to XIIth Class. All precautions should be taken in funding the organisations. There are persons who have attractive plans and have set up big organisations but in reality the performance is zero.
For the last 6 years I am striving for quality education at primary level. There is a network of 23 schools in Faizabad imparting value based education but development is not possible due to financial
stringency. At the most people sponsor few children from Zakat but provide no assistance for constructing proper classrooms and providing writing table, seat etc. Due to prevailing poverty local people can hardly contribute for such works.
Hope your association with the organisation will very much benefit the community.
