Be a little more sensitive
The report 'Creating
"Jews" in the NE'* carries a line "These Jackie Chan-look alike Jews.." is in very bad taste. This is a direct reference to the appearance of our fellow countrymen and smacks of
racism. I assume that the writer* comes from the same region. However, this did not deter him from making fun of the appearance of his fellow citizens from the NE region - not to mention the thousands of Muslims from Assam who have Mongoloid racial features. I think contributors and editorial team at MG should be a little more sensitive to such issues. Let slip-ups like these not mar the reputation built by the MG team over the years.

Editor: I apologise if this has offended you. We in MG have no problem with any race or colour but we allowed the offensive description to appear because Jews are very particular about their race and European looks since they are mostly Khazar converts to Judaism but today, in order to get cheap labour, they are ready to adopt and accept Flashas and even NE tribals who fit nowhere into the usual appearance of a Jew. It is well-known that Flashas live like untouchables in Israel and same will be the lot of our people going there.
