Taslimuddin gets bail in fraud case
Patna: District and sessions judge of Patna Shyam Kishore Sharma on November 11 granted anticipatory bail to Union minister Mohammad Taslimuddin in a case of fraud relating to purchase of a jeep. The minister had issued a cheque of Rs 2.42 lakh, which bounced, to Lawly Sen and Co. as payment of the cost of a jeep purchased by his acquaintance Muzaffar Hussain. The owner of the firm SK Sabu had filed a case of fraud against him in the district court. The senior counsel Janardan Rai informed the court that the plaintiff has settled the matter with the defendant and that his client has already given a bank draft to the firm. Earlier, the court had issued a non-bailable warrant against him and an order for attachment of his property on October 5 when he did not appear before the court in the case
