Vajpayee had assured building of Ram Mandir

Kolhapur: VHP’s international president, Ashok Singhal, has accused Congress and some constituent parties of NDA of politicising the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya for their personal interests only. He said here on 4 May that Prime Minister Vajpayee had assured the people of building of Ram Temple in Ayodhya but Congress and these parties created division among people for their personal motives.

Singhal also accused the “so-called” secular parties of handing over the country’s reins to foreign hands which will be dangerous for the country’s unity and integrity. He also said that VHP believes in two types of people only, i.e., ‘manav’ (human beings) and ‘danav’ (demons) but some parties are trying to divide people into different categories on the basis of castes.

Expressing his complete faith in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s leadership, Singhal said that BJP should secure two-thirds majority in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. (Urdu daily Awam, May 5, 2004).
