REJOINDER
Form a Muslim bloc in Parliament

I refer to the article by Syed Shahabuddin in your issue of 16-31 March 2004. The political analysis of Mr Shahabuddin is truly an eye-opener to all who work in the political field. There is no longer a question of quo vadis for Muslims in India. They are an integral part of India, and must be treated as such. The best solution for them is to form a Muslims political bloc in the parliament as they had during British Raj so that they may be counted as an entity without which no Bill could be passed.
