Iram Educational Society inaugurates
hospital
Lucknow: Iram Allopathic Hospital, Unani Medical College and Para Medical Center was inaugurated here on 8 September by Maulana Syed Rabey Hasani Nadwi, president of All India Muslim Personal Law Board. The hospital is sponsored by Iram Educational Society. Speaking on the occasion Maulana Nadwi said that before Independence poverty and backwardness was rampant. Sixty years ago no one could imagine the progress made today under the changed circumstances. Man should be thankful to God for such progress and prosperity. The best way of expressing gratitude to God is social service and service to human beings. He said that we should carry on developmental programmes for the progress of the country. He emphasized the need of spreading education and giving preference to country's interest over personal interests.
Malikzada Manzoor Ahmad, speaking on the occasion said that during the brief period of only 30 years, Khwaja Syed Mohammad Yunus, founder manager of Iram Educational Society, set up 30 schools and colleges. Each school and college has separate building of its own which is really an achievement.
In this medical institution, there are three and four years courses for medical training in physiotherapy, radiology, lab technology and optometry and two-year diploma courses for x-ray technicians, lab technicians and optometrists.
A 300-bed hospital equipped with all modern facilities has been set up. There are also lodging facilities for 200 trainee students in the hospital.
