Qazi Foundation inaugurated
Bangalore: A foundation in the memory of Late Qazi Mujahidul Islam Qasimi was inaugurated on January 16 at Darus Salam Convention Hall on Queens Road in Bangalore by Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, rector of Al-Ma’had Al-A’la Al-Islami, Hyderabad. In his inaugural address, Moulana Rahmani stressed the need to appreciate the good work being carried out by Muslim organisations in the country. He lauded the role of Muslims of Bangalore in particular on both religious and worldly levels. He warned the people to be aware of the nefarious designs of the Sangh Parivar and said, "A dedicated team of mediapersons trained by the
Sangh Parivar is working relentlessly to achieve its goals, Muslims should also develop their team of journalists to change the society". Maulana Mufti Ashraf Ali, Ameer-e-Shariat, Karnataka, agreed with the remarks made by Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani. Former minister for Haj & small-scale industries R. Roshan Baig and Maulana Zakaria Walajahi also spoke on the occassion. In establishing 'Qazi Foundation' Shaik Dawood, Mukhtar Ahmed Qasmi and Dr. Afzal have played a key role.
