Awards

All India Urdu Manch has honoured former chairman of Karnatak Urdu Academy, Wahab Andaleeb with Mahmood Ayaz Award for distinguished services to Urdu. This award consists of Rs 50,000 in cash, a medal and a commendation certificate. In addition to this, the Manch selected Prof Khalid Sayeed’s book Pas-e Tahree’ as the best book in prose and Muneer Ahmad Jaami’s book Ekhtra’ (invention) as the best book in poetry. Both the authors will get Rs 25,000 each. «
