Gujarat not to drop POTA against Godhra accused

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat government rejected the observations of the Central Pota Review Committee (CPRC) on June 10 that had recommended dropping of POTA charges against all the accused in the Godhra train carnage case. The state government’s counsel HM Dhruv while filing its reply to the Committee said, “Not only there is prima facie case under provisions of POTA but there is also more than sufficient material evidence to attract its provisions.” Detail arguments on this reply filed by the Gujarat government was held on June 13.
