Ibrahim Sulaiman Sait
Milli Gazette Online
The death of Ibrahim Sulaiman Sait has removed a powerful personality from the Indian politics. He always championed the cause of the downtrodden and fought for the rights of minority communities. He had tirelessly worked for the uplift of the poor in Kerala though he hailed from Gujarat and lived in Bangalore and even though could not speak Malayalam fluently. He was a forceful orator in English and Urdu. He was one of the best ten parliamentarians of the country. He concentrated his activities in Kerala. Macncheri constituency sent him to Loksabha six times and he represented Ponnani once. He was a member of Rajya Sabha for six years. He represented India at various world forums. He was indeed one of the most charismatic Muslim leaders. May the Almighty Allah provides him a space in the Heaven.
