Medical college principal caught taking bribe

Bangalore: The Lokayukta police arrested Mohammed Mujeebur Rehman, principal of the Unani Medical College here, on charges of accepting a bribe of Rs. 30,000 from a student for granting more marks in the examinations on February 7. Around 70 students pursuing the Bachelor of Unani Medical Science (BUMS) course complained that the principal allegedly received money for admitting students for internship, and for awarding marks in the internal examinations. The vice-principal, Hasifunissa, who is Rehman's wife too was involved in the scandal, students alleged.
