Hyderabad: Iranian nationals in the city celebrated the 26th anniversary of Islamic revolution in their country on February 8. The Consul-General Husain Ravesh hosted a dinner to some of the Iranians, Zorastrians and students at the consulate here. Persian songs "Inqilabe khursheed ast ..." filled the air.
Minorities' Welfare Minister Mohammed, Fareeduddin was the chief guest. All-India Shia Muslim Personal Law Board general secretary Moulana Raza Aga spoke about the revolution brought about by Ayatollah Khomeini. The guests were treated to a documentary film depicting the technological advancement made by Iran over the years. Later, prizes were given away to winners of an essay writing competition on Indo-Iran relationship.
