Jamia introduces new courses

New Delhi: Anwar Jamal Kidwai Mass Communication Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia recently released its syllabus for MA Mass Communication with more thrust on script writing and fiction. Besides, the centre has decided to introduce many new courses as PG Diploma in Print Journalism, PG Diploma in Animation and Graphics, M. Phil in Cinematography, BA in audio visual and other short term courses in Still Photography and Videography, Reporting, Editing, Audio-Visual sound recording, Technical management and maintenance, anchoring, make up and script writing from next session. The Post Graduate Diploma courses would be of one and half year duration with 25 seats in each while the short term courses would be of 2-3 months duration with 15 seats each. The director of the centre Iftekhar Ahmad said that they were looking forward to provide opportunities to the people at grass roots level and work with them and bridge the gap between industry requirement and educational qualifications. He added that they were looking forward to introduce a course at research level on media studies.«
