Congress ignored Modi's rights violations: PPI
Milli Gazette Online
Aligarh: Pracham Party of India (PPI) has expressed anguish at UPA government’s visa review appeal to US for Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi. The party’s spokesperson, Bachchan Ali Khan said in a press statement on March 19 that the findings of numerous independent national and international agencies, non-governmental organisations, and media persons have unanimously concluded that Modi government abetted and sponsored the pogrom of Muslims in the state. The subsequent legal observations have time and again proved that the Modi government has been trying to shield the perpetrators of genocide. Instead of showing any remorse, Modi government has increased hate campaign against Muslims and Christians.

against Manmohan’s support to Modi
In spite of these facts, Manmohan Singh government’s support to Narendra Modi is perplexing and compels us to suspect the secular credential of the Congress Party, Khan said. The action of the Manmohan Singh government appears to be in conformity with the history of the Congress rule in the country and its past behaviour towards Muslims. Dur ing the last Lok Sabha elections Congressmen cursed the NDA and Narendra Modi for the plight of Muslims. By extending official support to Modi, the Congress has once again shown its true colour, he added.
The party demanded that the Union government should withdraw its request made to US officials to review denial of visa to Modi and cancel his passport to prevent him from spreading his campaign of religious hatred abroad.
