Exodus of Muslims from Rampur village
The
Milli Gazette Online
Rampur, U.P.: On Friday, 3 June, when Muslims of Khandeli village under Shahabad police station in Rampur district were assembling for Friday prayers, they were suddenly attacked by people from the other community. After this, their houses were also raided by the mob and cash and other household goods including ornaments were looted. All this created panic among Muslims. As a result they locked up their houses and left for other safe places. Fear has gripped the whole village. Only police and PAC jawans are seen patrolling its streets. Though police claims that the situation is under control, remaining Muslims are not coming out of their houses due to fear.
