BJP workers resign in large numbers in UP
Milli Gazette Online
Faizabad: A spate of resignations by 27 office-bearers and workers of BJP in Ayodhya Assembly Constituency which has been BJP’s stronghold, has created confusion and despondency in BJP circles. BJP state general secretary and BJP MLAs allegedly camped in rural areas of the constituency in May in order to stem the tide of resignations. The BJP workers started resigning after the resignations of Ashok Singh and Pankaj Tiwari, who were office-bearers of Vikas Khand. Shortly thereafter, BJP president of Mandal unit, Ram Saran Tiwari, vice president Chandar Bhushan Pandey, former Mandal secretary Radhay Ram Tiwari and BJP Mandal secretary, Manoj Singh resigned along with many other members. It is for the first time that the party is faced with mass resignations in Ayodhya. Those who have resigned cited personal problems for resigning from their posts, but its seems there is something else behind their sudden and large scale resignations.
