Rajasthan saffronizes education
Milli Gazette Online
Jaipur: From the next academic session starting in July, students of 9th and 11th classes of Rajasthan Secondary Education Board will read Sangh ideology. The Board has changed its educational syllabi to a fairly large extent to suit the ideology of the Sangh. According to sources, many changes have been made in history, Hindi, Social Science, Sanskrit and Science textbooks. In Social Science books students will have to study lessons on social, religious and political views of men like Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, RSS chief KS Sudarshan and former RSS Sarsanghchalak, Prof Rajinder Singh among others.
The history of RSS and its affiliated organisations will be taught to students. In history books Mewar’s Maharana Pratap Singh will be mentioned great, not King Akbar. The information given about Akbar and Rana Pratap Singh may lead to considerable difference among historians.
