Deoband: Maulana Muhammad Salim Qasmi, rector of Darul Uloom (Trust), Deoband said while addressing a press conference at his residence that a 3-day international seminar on the life and services of (late) Qari Muhammad Taiyyib, founder-president of All India Muslim Personal Law Board and former rector of Darul Uloom, Deoband will be held here on 8,9 and 10 December, 2005. He said that he hoped that religious leaders and scholars from all over India irrespective of any sectarian differences will be fully represented in this grand seminar. 

He said in this press conference that Darul Uloom, Deoband is a world centre of religious education, learning and knowledge and in making it so, the single-handed services and efforts of late Maulana Qari Muhammad Taiyyib can never be forgotten. He further said that without the name of late Qari, religious and educational history not only of Darul Uloom, Deoband but also of all Islamic organisations of India cannot be considered complete. 

Shaikhul Hadeeth of Darul Uloom (Trust), Maulana Anzar Shah Kashmiri while shedding light on the utility and importance of this seminar said that religious scholars from all over the world irrespective of any sect will participate in this 3-day seminar. Organiser of this international seminar, Maulana Muhammad Sufian Qasmi and its convener, Maulana Abdulla bin Al Qamar Gorakphuri said that preparations for this seminar are being made on war footing and that invitations to dignitaries and celebrities will be delivered by hand.

It is expected that about a million people will be participating in this seminar. Maulana Dilshad Qasmi, manager of organisation and development, Darul Uloom (Trust), Deoband has been assigned the job of coordination of different activities. The important thing is that Jamiatul Ulama president, Maulana Marghoobur Rahman will also participate in this international seminar. Other invitees are Maulana Abdul Wahab Khilji, president of Jamait Ahl-e Hadith, Maulana Abdul Haq, Ameer, Jamait Islami, Maulana Khwaja Hasan Nizami, Sajjada Nashin of Dargah Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia etc.
